Spanish Blackjack
Spanish Blackjack is a variant played but with a bit of a difference, all of the ten cards have been removed from the game and as such are never in play!
so the deck only has 48 active cards.
With less cards in play you may think you are getting a raw deal but this is made up with some bonus payouts that start to kick in when you get certain hands.

Blackjack will always beat a dealers Blackjack, so it is not all doom and gloom!
Number Of Decks:
Spanish Blackjack uses eight decks of playing cards, but don't forget that each deck only has 48 cards with no tens in them.
The rules on splitting are easy to understand and you can split a hand once to make a maximum of two hands.
You may also split both alike and unalike picture cards.
If you decide to split Aces then just one additional card will be dealt to each,
get a split Ace with any ten valued card and this will be a 21 hand and not a Blackjack.
Doubling Down Rules:
Spanish Blackjack lets you double down after you have split a hand. Plus you can keep on splitting upto a maximum of three times,
and as such you could end up playing four separate hands.
Aces may also be re-split and plus you can also draw or double down to split Aces. You can also split unalike picture cards.
Dealer Play:
The Dealer rules state that he must hit a soft 17 hand. Spanish Blackjack is a hole card game and as such
the Dealer will always peek and be checking for Blackjack when he is holding a picture card or an Ace.

Blackjack will always beat a Dealers Blackjack
Payout and House Edge:
A Blackjack hand by the player pays 3 to 2, and a winning Insurance bet pays 2-1.
The house edge of
Spanish Blackjack is 0.38%. You are also allowed to surrender a hand but by doing so will lose half your stake.
Spanish Blackjack - Bonus Payouts
Five cards that add upto 21 pays 3:2 and a
6, 7 and 8 card of any suit pays 3:2.
3 Sevens of a mixed suit pays 3:2, and
a seven card (or more) 21 pays 3:1.
6, 7 and 8 of Spades pays 3:1,
3 Sevens of Spades that will pay 3:1 also.
The following hand combinations will all pay 2-1 and these include a
six card 21,
6, 7 and 8 of the same suit and
3 Sevens of the same suit.
3 Sevens of the same suit, if the Dealer has a Seven face-up will pays 50:1
